A Great Calm

The Great Calm

The great sea raged,
Foaming in extreme agony,
A wave of wailing,
As though frustrated by old maltreatment,
Darkness riding through the way of the light,
Claiming a right,
but suddenly came a great calm.

Peter on water walked,
Walking by what was taught,
Not yet experienced,
And so He walked and began to drawn,
He cried out, eyes fixed, lesson learned,
Suddenly came a great calm,

Peace be still,
I say I have pain,
Peace be still,
The church is in chaos!
Peace be still, I say in Jesus Christ,
Stay still you great storm!

Don’t think He is asleep,
War war war,
Suddenly, there will be a great calm,
Come, Lord Jesus Christ,

Come Calm this troubled Soul.
