Gotname: What is the most difficult part of your artistic process especially as an African and Nigeria?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: I took up writing as a hobby, being simply inspired by my desire to know why I am a Christian. My difficult part is discouragement on readership. I kept hearing “African don’t read.”
Gotname: ‘Africans don’t read’ That’s the narrative but African’s read, write and are making and influencing change.
Does your family support your career as a writer? If not how did you convince them?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: I enjoy absolute support.
Gotname: How long on average does it take you to write a book and what inspire you?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: Early capacity development is key. I will be intentional about it. When I started, I took longer than now. My first book took 7 years. My second took 10. My third took less than a year. I finished my fourth in less than 6 months. Now I can say I do a book in about 5 months.

Mr. Ishays Ganya: Two

Mr. Ishaya Ganya: The nature of feedback
Gotname: What’s the best way to market your books?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: I honestly don’t have a specific way for now. I mostly give them out for free.
Gotname: What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: I just write base on my instinctive thoughts.
Gotname: Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: Yes I do

Mr. Ishaya Ganya: Absolutely! Life if driven by women. I wrote a book in honour of my deceased wife tittles “REBECCA GANYA.”

Mr. Ishaya Ganya: Have faith in God to help you activate your inbuilt mechanism for evolution.
Gotname: How can a writer inspire change in Nigeria?
Mr. Ishaya Ganya: Encourage individuals to live responsibly. At the core of every experience, there’s a testimony for meaningful evolution waiting to be tapped for productive living, we all need to search and begin to operate in such dimension.
Biography
ISHAYA GANYA is simply an advocate for mind renewal that’s aimed at enabling individuals to recognize and harness such testimonies, from the point of their unique experiences for effective and purposeful living.
He holds a diploma in law. His motivation to write is a product of his desire to share his thoughts on how to live meaningfully. Being a Christian, his views are shaped by his Christian beliefs, and the need to be salt and light in his community.
He has written three books: PRAYER PROCESS… transmuting a thought into its physical reality.
WORSHIP… understanding the essence of life
REBECCA GANYA… inspirational thoughts of a husband
He just finished writing his fourth book: QUIETNESS! …reawakening the consciousness of who you truly are in Christ (currently with the publishers)
He is currently working on his fifth book: INTENTIONAL! …maximizing every experience.
He was married to Rebecca who passed on the 26th of November, 2020, just four days to her 46th birthday. Our union is blessed with three boys – Philip, Joshua and Jacob.
