NBA Going to Prosecute Lawyers involved in Conference Vandalism

NBA going to prosecute lawyers involved in conference vandalism

Is the NBA really going to do as they should, would the rule of law apply for those who should uphold it, with all ethical and professionalism that comes with the practice of Law?

Well, the out going Nigeria Bar Association President, Olumide Akpata, has said that any lawyer found complicit in the vandalization of conference stables, theft of phones, and assault on officials will be prosecuted.

Akpata stated this on Thursday, during the ongoing Annual General Conference.

He further explained the circumstances that surrounded the delayed distribution of conference bags during the event.

“No one said we will not encounter difficulties in life but the hallmark is how quickly we resolve such difficulties.

“Gentlemen of the Bar, I thank you so much. It can only get better”, he said.

In a viral video on Wednesday, lawyers were seen destroying conference booths and looting conference materials on Tuesday night.

Some of the Lawyers disparaged the unavailability of conference materials despite coming to the accreditation center frequently, and this, according to many delegates, was demoralizing them.

However, the dispersion process was slow despite a large number of lawyers being in the queue waiting for their bags.

The Lawyers and Delegates at the NBA-AGC went berserk over the distribution of conference bags, destroying registration booths, and looting other Conference materials.

Nigeria has to change that we all agree but what happens now?
