The essential why of missions is simply that man was lost and need to be saved. Jesus came to rescue and save that which was lost so that man can be restored back to God’s original plan.
The world as it is today is not the way God designed it to be, the sin of man is what has brought all the suffering on himself so missions is to announce to those lost and sitting in darkness that there’s redemption in Jesus; anyone who puts his faith in what Jesus did on the cross will be saved and be free from damnation.
