You Earned a Name
You have earned a name in my life, O Yahweh,
For you have shown me kindness and grace,
In the depths of my soul, your love holds sway,
And in your presence, I find my resting place.
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
I will give thanks to you, O Lord above,
For in every moment, I am not forgetting,
Your unending mercy and steadfast love.
You have earned a name in my life, O King,
For you have transformed my heart and soul,
In your presence, my spirit takes wing,
And in your love, I am made whole.
You have clothed me with garments of praise,
And lifted me from the depths of despair,
In the beauty of holiness, my voice I’ll raise,
For in you, O Lord, I find all that’s fair.
You have earned a name in my life, O Savior,
For you have redeemed me from sin’s chains,
In your presence, I find unfading favor,
And in your love, my spirit sustains.
In the sanctuary of your presence, I dwell,
And offer my thanks and adoration,
For in your grace, my fears and doubts are dispelled,
And in your love, I find restoration.
You have earned a name in my life, O Shepherd,
For you have led me beside still waters,
In your presence, I find my refuge and guard,
And in your love, I am your cherished daughter.
In the courts of your sanctuary, I’ll sing,
Songs of thanksgiving and praise,
For from you, O Lord, all blessings spring,
And in your love, my soul will rise.
You have earned a name in my life, O Friend,
For you have walked with me in the darkest night,
In your presence, my fears come to an end,
And in your love, I find eternal light.
I will extol you, O Yahweh, my God,
And bless your name forever and ever,
For in your presence, I’ll forever trod,
And in your love, my soul will endeavor.
You have earned a name in my life, O Redeemer,
For you have set me free from sin’s chain,
In your presence, my heart finds its keeper,
And in your love, I’ll forever remain.
So with a grateful heart, I’ll proclaim,
Your goodness and mercy through all my days,
For in your love, I’ll forever acclaim,
And in your presence, my soul will always stay.
